Auburn Hospital System Foundation, Inc. was created in 2001 to receive and manage all gifts given for the benefit of Auburn Memorial Hospital and its satellite facilities.
All gifts to the Foundation directly benefit the community through improved and expanded patient care programs, services and facilities; purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment; and educational programs for hospital personnel and the community. The Foundation provides a wonderful opportunity for individuals, foundations, businesses, corporations and community organizations to partner with the hospital and support its future.
Gifts to the Foundation
Auburn Hospital System Foundation welcomes all gifts, large or small, restricted or unrestricted. You may give in a variety of ways:
Permanently Restricted Funds
When you specify that your gift is to be permanently restricted, the income from it may be directed to a specific purpose of your choice. Alternatively, you may specify that while the principal is permanently restricted, the income is unrestricted. Grants will be made from the income from such funds for areas of greatest need. All permanently restricted funds are professionally managed.
The Dr. Amanda Sanford Hickey Legacy Society
A provision may be made in your will stating that Auburn Hospital system Foundation is to receive a specific amount, a percentage, or the remainder of your estate after payment of taxes and expenses. Individuals who make such a provision will be invited to become members of the Dr. Amanda Sanford Hickey Legacy Society, a special group of supporters who share a common commitment to the health and well-being of their community. Named for the first female physician in Auburn, who contributed toward the purchase of the land on which the hospital now stands, the Dr. Amanda Sanford Hickey Legacy Society offers its members a certificate of recognition, a membership card which includes free parking in the hospital garage, and invitations to special events. Memorial Gifts
A memorial gift is a meaningful way to perpetuate the memory of a loved one. When these gifts are received, a letter is sent to the family informing them of the gift. Any contribution’s impact may be enhanced by making it in memory of a family member, physician, friend or caregiver.
Annual Gifts
As a donor to the Annual Giving Campaign, you provide support for areas of greatest current need.
Planned Giving
We encourage donors to explore with their attorney, accountant or financial planner the ways in which a gift in one’s lifetime may be advantageous to them and their families while providing support to Auburn Memorial Hospital. Instruments such as charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, gift annuity trusts, pooled income funds or life insurance policies that name the Hospital Foundation as a remainder beneficiary can create a donor’s own legacy by providing long-term support for the hospital’s mission.
Audited Financials
