Urgent Medical Care Facilities

Philosophy

To provide treatment of patients suffering from non-emergent conditions which require medical care when the services of their family physicians are not available, the patient doesn’t prefer a private physician or they are unable to secure a private physician.

Services

To provide prompt, convenient, quality non emergency room care seven days a week for minor medical needs, lab and port draws, X-rays.

Staff

The urgent care facilities are staffed by AMH physicians and Registered Nurses.

Patient Process

Patients can either call for an appointment or walk-in.  Walk-in patients are on a first come, first served basis.  When a patient arrives, they will be signed in at the registration desk and as rooms become available, they will be taken to a treatment area for an evaluation by an RN, then see the doctor.   If the number of walk ins becomes overwhelming and unsafe then no further walk-ins will be accepted. Appropriate tests will be ordered.  The doctor/clinic will re-evaluate if needed but every effort will be made for patients to follow up with their own physician first.  If the patient doesn’t have a primary care physician, the oncall medical staff will help establish one. The patient will then be discharged by an RN and asked to stop at the registration desk to make a payment and/or provide insurance information.
