AMH Heart Expo Attracts Hundreds
On Saturday, September 20, Auburn Memorial Hospital (AMH) held its annual Heart Expo. The free event was from 7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. complete with health screenings, special events and lots of fun for the kids.
Community members received complete Cholesterol Panel & Glucose Testing, Blood Pressure Screenings and Pulmonary Function Testing. The first floor of the hospital was full of various health care organizations and hospital practices disseminating information and answering questions from the hundreds of community members that showed up throughout the morning.


In addition to the health care information, there was music from DJ “Goodtime Charlie’s Mobile Entertainment” as well as Exercise Demonstration by the YMCA’s Silver Sneakers, Seward Jump Rope Team, Healthy Heart food samples from Daut’s, Connie’s Deli, Applebee’s, Wegmans Nature’s Market, Owen Orchards, Premier Catering & Hillcrest Dairy
The kids enjoyed fire engine tours, the Mercy Flight Exhibit, TLC Ambulance Tours,
LouLou Lollipop ~ Clown with a Caring Heart, live cartoon characters, face painting, carnival games, a moonwalk, plus every child received FREE REVA ROLLERDROME passes.
This year’s sponsors include Welch Allyn, the Auburn YMCA, Auburn Oxygen and Lincare.
Next year’s event will be held on September 19, 2009.
