AMH Holding Annual Heart Expo
Saturday, September 20 will be the day for Auburn Memorial Hospital’s (AMH) annual Heart Expo. The free event is from 7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. complete with health screenings, special events and lots of fun for the kids.
The schedule for health screenings is:
- 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: Complete Cholesterol Panel & Glucose Testing (12-15 hour fasting required)
- 7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Blood Pressure Screenings
- 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Pulmonary Function Testing
Special features include music with DJ “Goodtime Charlie’s Mobile Entertainment” as well as:
- 8:15 a.m.: Exercise Demonstration by the YMCA’s Silver Sneakers
- 9:00 a.m. & 9:30 a.m.: Seward Jump Rope Team
- 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Healthy Heart food samples from Daut’s, Connie’s Deli, Applebee’s, Wegmans Nature’s Market, Owen Orchards, Premier Catering & Hillcrest Dairy
The kids will enjoy fire engine tours, the Mercy Flight Exhibit, TLC Ambulance Tours,
LouLou Lollipop — Clown with a Caring Heart, live cartoon characters, face painting, carnival games, a moonwalk, plus FREE REVA ROLLERDROME passes for every child.
This year’s sponsors include Welch Allyn, the Auburn YMCA, Auburn Oxygen and Lincare.
