Lazarus Keynote for AMH Women’s Health Institute
August 12, 2008 — Carrie Lazarus, News Channel 9 anchor, will be the keynote speaker for the 11th annual Women’s Health Institute presented by Auburn Memorial Hospital (AMH). Her address is entitled: "Women’s Roles: Wife, Mother, Sister…and Healthcare Guardian!”
Lazarus is Central New York’s most trusted journalist whose Family Healthcast segment was one of the first daily local health segments in the country. She co-anchors NewsChannel 9 at noon, 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. She is also the co-host of Bridge Street along with Rick Gary, which airs weekdays at 10:00 a.m.
The Women’s Health Institute will be held at the Auburn Holiday Inn on Saturday, October 18. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and Lazarus’ keynote presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m. There are three sessions that each offer four workshops. Session I begins at 10:00 a.m., Session II begins at 11:00 a.m. and Session III begins at noon. All workshops last 45 minutes. There is a Q&A session with presenters from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This year’s workshops include: Cosmetic Dermatology for the Mature Woman; Advances in Total Knee Arthroplasty; Music in Healing; Weight Loss Surgery: LAP-BAND® or Gastric Bypass; Psoriasis – A New World of Treatment Options; Women and Heart Disease; Body Contouring After Weight Loss; Smoking Cessation and The AMH/Strong Telestroke Program: Bringing Top Neurosurgeons to Our ER.
