Auburn Memorial Hospital Hires Three Psychiatrists
Auburn Memorial Hospital (AMH) has recently hired psychiatrists Elisabeth Mashinic, M.D., Stanley Poreba, M.D. and Patricia Taylor, M.D.
Prior to joining AMH, Dr. Mashinic was in private practice in Ithaca, NY where she conducted contract work for the Schuyler County Mental Health Clinic, Watkins Glen, NY and the Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, Montour Falls, NY. She is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. She completed her fellowship in child psychiatry at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, NY, and the State University of New York at Buffalo; her residency in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, New York, in general surgery at both Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens; and her residency in pathology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York, New York. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine.
Dr. Poreba was the interim Medical Director at the Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, NY, prior to joining AMH. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He completed his postgraduate training in pathology at Metropolitan Hospital, New York, New York; in internal medicine at Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, New York, and psychiatry at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center’s Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, New York, New York. He is a graduate of the Wroclaw Medical Academy in Wroclaw, Poland.
Prior to joining AMH, Dr. Taylor was the staff psychiatrist at Orange Regional Medical Center, Goshen, New York. She completed her fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the Medical College of Virginia and the Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, Burkesville, Virginia; and her residency in psychiatry at the University of Virginia. She is a graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies.
