Auburn Memorial Hospital Names Kendrick Chief Nursing Officer
Auburn Memorial Hospital (AMH) recently hired Kathy Kendrick, RN, MBA as its Chief Nursing Officer. This is a new position for the hospital. Kendrick will be responsible for leading and managing the 300-person Nursing Department.
“We want to provide the Nursing Department at AMH with leadership and direction to enable us to excel and utilize our skills and talents to complement the direction of the hospital,” said Kendrick.
“This newly created position continues our trend at AMH of investment in quality of care,” said Scott A. Berlucchi, AMH President/CEO. “Moreover, this investment builds upon our strength in nursing services. We are committed to the recruitment of talent and leadership, and Kathy Kendrick is an example of that commitment.”
Kendrick brings 26 years of progressive clinical, quality assurance, policy development and leadership experience to AMH. Prior to joining AMH, Kendrick was the Director of Acute Care Services at Community General Hospital. She was also the interim CNO/Vice President of Nursing at Community. She began her nursing career at AMH as a staff nurse in the Critical Care Unit.
She has an MBA from LeMoyne College, a B.S.P.A. with a concentration in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College of Maine, and a Nursing Diploma from Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
